Will NOT be there....and NOT with a really big smile. I was going to go with ***, but he had to flake and back out. I need more reliable friends.
(As a side note, i apologize for stating that the aforementioned person flaked. I apologize for any stress my comment may have caused aforementioned person. I never should have said this - at least in writing on my blog.)
While hundreds of music-loving social networkers from around the world are trekking to the SLCC in San Francisco this August, the SLCC Music Track is poised to showcase its talent! 'The Musician's Ball: A Night of Peace, Love & Music' is the social networking soirĂ©e of the weekend. It will be held Saturday, August 15th in the St. Francis Hotel Ballroom from 7p-1a. SLCC Music Track Performance Co-Chairs, Cylindrian Rutabaga and Lyndon Heart have strategically confirmed two dozen live music performances. While Second Life musicians will have the majority of the spotlight, comedians and artists will also entertain the crowd. There will be a cash bar open to adults 21 and over. It's a recession-buster night out! This event will be streamed into several venues around Second Life®, but join us face-to-face, if you can! Don't forget your camera for the photo opportunities! Grab your best denim and tie-dye, love beads and good vibes and meet us at the St. Francis! Purchase this ticket ONLY if you are NOT attending the overall SLCC. Attendees of the SLCC will enjoy the evening's events as part of their paid registration to the SLCC.

Boston's Oddfellow Studios is bringing their improvised psychedelic multimedia show to SF with three goa/trance DJs spinning tunes from 8pm to after midnight.
Mixed reality uses the resources of a game engine, projected on a 1000 person venue ball room screen to make an immersive light/graphics show.
The graphics with trip you out, and the tunes will spin you up -- but for those who want to geek out, there will be a chance to peek "behind the curtain" at the graphics production of on-the-fly improvisation from four computers producing graphical jazz using Second Life.

Welcome to the chronicle of places I go, and events I attend in my Second Life travels. I post lots of photos and landmarks to get to stops I recommend. Most of this blog - but not all - is dedicated to educational builds or places pertaining to education. I am an ardent Second Life traveler, and this blog reflects that.
