- About Virtually Olivia -

Welcome to the chronicle of places I go, and events I attend in my Second Life travels. I post lots of photos and landmarks to get to stops I recommend. Most of this blog - but not all - is dedicated to educational builds or places pertaining to education. I am an ardent Second Life traveler, and this blog reflects that. Olivia Hotshot. * ESHI - A DB Bailey and Eshi Otawara collaboration for the Stanford Libraries at Locus *
Designed by DB Bailey, this exhibition features fabric samples from traditional Japanese kimonos that date back to the late 1800's, combined with selections from Eshi Otawara's stellar Winter-Spring Collection that incorporates elements born of spring, power, strength, and light from within, while embracing softness, curves, blossoms, and lightness. Importantly, there are symbols from Japan within her collection, from airy blooms to powerful petals, all with a wonderful blend of coloration, patterns, and contrasts.

The fabrics belong to the prized collection held by the Stanford University Library. The full collection can be viewed at the Stanford site: http://slurl.com/secondlife/Stanford%20University%20Libraries/131/137/133
